Most Preferred Occupations Among Thai Women
Based on Bangkok Matching’s data, over 99% of Thai women, if given the choice, continue to favor business owners as their top preference (ranked No. 1 consistently).
Other popular occupations include:

- Medical doctors
- High-status and respected professions, such as pilots, judges, diplomats, or senior government officials
However, occupation alone is not enough to win a woman’s interest. Most women evaluate men across multiple dimensions, ranked in order of importance as follows:

Many Thai women prioritize financial stability over occupation and education. If a man is successful in his career and communicates well, women are often willing to overlook formal education levels.
That said, 50% of women still place importance on physical appearance. If a man does not meet their personal standard, they are willing to decline a date.
- 70% of women specify a minimum income requirement of THB 100,000 per month for male partners.
Men’s Perspective on Women’s Occupation and Income
- 80% of Thai men do not consider a woman’s occupation when choosing a partner
